● REC TAKE 01/09 PROJECT: A LIFE

Amar Kaushik

By training, a mechanical engineer. By practice, an engineer — the title rotates with the take counter; the standard does not. A decade behind cinema cameras, aircraft built by hand, one of Bangalore's first professional aerial operations, and a production house founded on an engineer's habit: build the instrument before you trust it. Everything on this desk was shot, flown, or built by the same pair of hands.

EXT. OPEN GROUND, BANGALORE — FIRST LIGHT

The sky, built by hand

An aircraft of his own construction clears the treeline, and the city gains its first professional eye in the sky.

8TH GRADE

A first motorcycle, assembled from parts and intent before a licence was possible. The pattern set early.

ENGG.

Mechanical engineering. Learns tolerances, torque, and that most rules of physics are actually suggestions about budget.

RC ERA

Hand-builds fixed-wing aircraft, then drones. Straps a GoPro Hero 1 to a two-axis gimbal before "drone video" is a phrase.

MAVIC 1

Buys one of the first in the city. Becomes one of Bangalore's first professional aerial photographers — the sky suddenly has a rate card.

NOW

Designs and builds cinema FPV rigs, flies them commercially over sites, rivers and film sets. Type F-L-Y on your keyboard sometime.

INT. FILM CITY, MUMBAI — YEARS, NOT VISITS

A decade of light

A decade on working sets settles one conviction: the eye is the instrument, and it is trained, not bought.

THE ASK

Clients asked for more than the sky. He came down and learned the ground trade properly.

MUMBAI

Years under directors on real sets. Corporate films, campaigns, music videos, and productions that taught more than any institution could.

10 YRS

A decade in, cinematography is the spine. The drones, the studio, the AI work — everything borrows this eye.

38,000FT

Edits on planes. Thirty-plus flights a year; the tray table is a workstation, the window seat is a lighting reference.

INT. CAPTUREKRAFT STUDIOS, BANGALORE — IN PRODUCTION

The production house

Films, commercials, campaigns, aerials — briefed once, delivered finished, under one name.

Capturekraft Studios is a video production house — not a rental space. Films, commercials, brand campaigns, fashion, product, aerial units and broadcast-grade series work: conceived, shot, and finished by an in-house crew that answers for the result. The purpose-built facility in Bangalore — five sets, a soundproofed stage, an edit suite — is simply where the machine lives. Crafted. Not captured. The brief arrives once. The film arrives finished.

SCENE 04TAKE ∞ (DAILY)TC IN 00:05:52:00

INT. THE SAME DESK — EVERY WORKING MORNING

The daily discipline

He rebuilds the brand once, then keeps it — daily, without ceremony.

THE REDO

The company reinvents itself. The brand needs rebuilding — so he builds it from scratch. Identity, voice, the whole animal.

THE ROLE

Digital Presence Manager. The job that takes most of his week — strategy, content systems, campaigns, and a thousand small daily decisions that keep a company sounding like itself.

ALSO

Leads creative teams. Designs trade-show booths and stalls — brand as a room you can walk into. The engineering degree, again, quietly earning its keep.

MORAL

A brand is a daily show, not a launch event. He runs the daily show.

INT. THE GRADE SUITE — LATE, BY CHOICE

New instruments, old judgment

The system proposes four hundred frames; he keeps six.

AI ERA

Works as an AI generalist — advising creative and marketing teams on which tools are real, which are noise, and how to use them without losing the craft.

CLIENTS

Commissioned AI film work, concept to delivery — governments among the clients, brands alongside. It stopped being remarkable around the third delivery.

EDGE

The rarest input an AI pipeline can have turns out to be a decade behind real cameras. Taste doesn't prompt-engineer itself.

EXT. TWENTY-THREE COUNTRIES — ONGOING

Twenty-three countries, on file

He studies light at ground level across twenty-three countries, usually alone.

Twenty-three countries, usually solo, always with a backpack. Some frames were shoots and scouts. Most were just going to stand in front of art, light, mountains and cities — field research for a curiosity that never files expenses.

Name the deliverable

He arrives with the brief understood and leaves with the film delivered.

Everything above is a working capability, not a hobby reel. One person, whole pipeline — strategy that understands craft, craft that respects strategy.

EXP/01

Digital presence & brand

Built from zero or rebuilt after a redo — identity, voice, channels — then run with daily discipline.

EXP/02

AI advisory & production

Tool strategy to fully AI-produced films. Proven at government scale, graded by a filmmaker's eye.

EXP/03

Film & content production

Films, commercials and campaigns, end-to-end through Capturekraft Studios — a video production house with its own stage.

EXP/04

Aerial & FPV operations

Cinema drones designed, built and flown by the same pair of hands. Since the Mavic 1 era.

EXP/05

Experience & booth design

Trade-show booths and brand spaces — engineered, designed, delivered, standing upright.

EXP/06

Creative direction

Teams led kindly, taste held firmly, deadlines met suspiciously often.
